# ReportHate.scot

An independent online platform for reporting hate-related incidents across Scotland.

> ReportHate.scot is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) currently in public beta. It offers a confidential, multilingual route for people in Scotland to report hate incidents, access support, and signpost partner services. Reports are securely recorded; response and partner integrations are being rolled out in phases.

## What is ReportHate.scot

ReportHate.scot is a bespoke third-party reporting platform that lets anyone in Scotland report a hate-related incident online. It is run by ReportHate.scot CIC, is independent of Police Scotland, and supports reporting on behalf of yourself or someone else, with optional anonymity. The platform covers ten primary categories of hate (including racial, religious, sexual orientation, transgender identity, disability, age, sex and gender, asylum and refugee status, socio-economic status, and alternative subculture) with detailed subcategories and conditional paths for in-person and online incidents.

- People in Scotland who have experienced or witnessed a hate incident and want a safer, lower-barrier way to report it.
- Community support organisations and partner councils that receive anonymised reports to inform local response and prevention work.
- Journalists, researchers, and policymakers looking for authoritative information about the service.
